About the Author
“What little can be said about me counts little except for this – To live is Christ.”
Rosemary Stankwytch Long has been a writer almost her entire life. Over the years, she has denied her poetic muse and settled for the much unacclaimed but needed ‘tool shed’ that Thoreau wrote about – literally working as a technical writer for much of her public career. At the center of everything she writes now is her dedication to life in Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit working in her life, she aspires to become someone who puts Christlikeness on display in her life and writing.
Rosemary was born in Lumberton, North Carolina, and married the love of her life in 1990. High school sweethearts, Robert and Rosemary were married for 32 years; they loved each other for 52 years.
She is happiest in the company of her “babies” both new and old. They include biological daughters Ruth and Beth, ‘adopted’ daughter Brittany; and grandchildren John, Eleanor, Wyatt, and Wesley – in birth order. Add to that Nacho from Madrid and the children of her friends. She has two very best friends: one from kindergarten and one from college days. Rosemary graduated from Meredith College in 1976. She is also best friends with a short and sassy toy poodle/terrier rescue named Mikey. And yes, Mikey loves everybody!
